As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowBloomington-based medical device maker Cook Group has acquired General BioTechnology LLC, an Indianapolis biotech company with about 20 employees, Cook Group announced Monday.
Terms of the deal were not announced.
Cook will rename the acquisition Cook General BioTechnology LLC. The company specializes in cryopreservation and biobanking of blood and tissues.
General BioTechnology was founded in 1997 by former Indiana University School of Medicne Researchers. It operates an umbilical cord blood and tissue bank for families called The Genesis Bank and a reproductive tissue bank, Genome Resources.
