BKD LLP, a national accounting firm headquartered in Springfield, Mo., has chosen Ted Dickman of its Indianapolis office as its new CEO, effective June 1.

Dickman has spent the past four years as managing partner of the firm’s east region, which includes Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Previously, he served as managing partner of offices in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Fort Wayne and Merrillville, in addition to Cincinnati.

He succeeds Neal Spencer, who announced his decision in February to step down after leading the firm for five years.

Dickman earned his accounting degree from Indiana University in 1983 and immediately joined the firm’s Indianapolis office. He became a partner in 1991.

BKD serves clients in all 50 states and internationally.
