Indianapolis-based FitzMark Inc., a third-party logistics provider, said Thursday that it plans to hire 30 employees by the end of the year to fill customer service and purchasing positions.

Founded in 2007 by company CEO Scott Fitzgerald and President Mark Hurley, FitzMark has 41 employees and had annual revenue last year of $25 million.

FitzMark attributes much of its growth to its FreightCity Inc. subsidiary. The online business directly connects shippers and carriers, and allows electronic shipment bidding.

The company provides warehousing, distribution and transportation services to several Fortune 500 clients from distribution centers in Indianapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Orlando and Seattle.

FitzMark is located at 8188 Allison Ave. on the city’s northwest side.
