Subscribe NowMore than two dozen people were safely evacuated from a near-north-side Indianapolis apartment building Tuesday morning as fire damaged one of the units. The fire occurred at the Magnolia Apartments in the 3300 block of North Meridian Street just after 6 a.m. About 25 residents were evacuated as firefighters worked to contain a blaze that started in an apartment’s bedroom. Firefighters said 25 units were affected by the blaze, with one damaged by fire and the remainder units sustaining smoke damage.
