Indianapolis-based Lids Sports Group said Monday that its wholesale team dealer division has renewed an existing contract with the IUPUI athletics department for another five years.
Under the arrangement, Nike will maintain its status as the official outfitter of all student athletes for the 16 varsity sports teams at IUPU. The initial deal was signed in October 2009. Terms of the current agreement were not disclosed.
The Lids Team Sports division is a full-service team dealer, custom screen printer, embroidery and sporting goods operator. Lids is a division of Indianapolis-based Hat World Inc., which is owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based Genesco.
