Police said the motorcycle rear-ended the SUV about 8:15 p.m. while both vehicles were traveling east on East 34th Street near North Gale Street. The cyclist was taken to Wishard Hospital, where he died. Police say it did not appear that alcohol or excessive speed was factors in the crash, but the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.
