The Indianapolis Star and WTHR-TV Channel 13 reported Tuesday that the Butler University trustees have come out against the flood wall proposed by the Army Corps of Engineers along the Central Canal. Residents of an enclave between the canal and the White River called Rocky Ripple also oppose the project, as does an influential neighborhood group.
The Butler trustees have written a letter saying they're worried about the flood wall's possible impact on Holcomb Gardens on the campus.
Butler also owns property in Rocky Ripple.
There's no timeline yet for building the flood wall.
