As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Emmis Communications Corp. said Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire two radio stations in Terre Haute.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The country-rock WSDM-FM 92.7 and sports-talk WSDX-AM 1300 are operated by Loveland, Colo.-based Crossroads Investments LLC.
Emmis already owns two radio stations in Terre Haute—WWVR-FM 105.5 and WTHI-FM 99.9.
Approval of the purchase from the Federal Communications Commission is expected to take 45 to 60 days. Following approval, Emmis will own 21 radio stations in six U.S. markets.
Locally, it operates WFNI-AM 1070, WIBC-FM 93.1, WLHK-FM 97.1 and WYXB-FM 105.7, as well as Indianapolis Monthly magazine.
Shares of Emmis were up 4 cents Wednesday afternoon, trading at $2.06 each.
