It was the highest price this year for a property listed in the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors listing service and the largest in the history of the local Encore Sotheby’s office.
Sellers of lake properties in other parts of the state often market to Indianapolis buyers via MIBOR.
The seller of the Wawasee property was represented by Sheri Putman, who listed the house last October. The buyer, an Indianapolis resident, was represented by Timothy O’Connor of Prudential Indiana Realty.
It was the second-largest sale among MIBOR listings going all the way back to 2006. The 9,424-square-foot home at 6310 Trusdell Ave. was built 12 years ago on 1.33 acres of property with 140 feet of lake frontage.
