Keihin North America Inc., a manufacturer of vehicle engine management and climate-control systems, plans to relocate between 130 and 175 management, engineering and development jobs to the center.
Greg Winkler, Anderson’s interim economic development director, has asked the city’s redevelopment commission to contribute $1.3 million in available tax-increment financing funds for tenant improvements and to abate the first two years of Keihin’s six-year lease.
Keihin has additional locations in Greenfield and Muncie, as well as in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
The company is part of Japan-based Keihin Group.
