Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Dow AgroSciences announced Monday that former Indiana Director of Agriculture Joseph Kelsay is joining the company’s global regulatory and government affairs teams as senior manager of biotechnology affairs.
Kelsay had served under former Gov. Mitch Daniels as director of Indiana’s State Department of Agriculture since 2009 before leaving the post this month under the change in administrations. Gov. Mike Pence last week appointed Gina Sheets to replace Kelsay.
Kelsay is chairman of the State Young Farmer Committee in Indiana Farm Bureau and is president of the Indiana Professional Dairy Producers.
He is a partner of Whiteland-based Kelsay Farm Tours LLC, which teaches children about life on the farm.
Kelsay holds a degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University and is a 2008 graduate of the Indiana AgriInstitute—Indiana’s premier agricultural leadership program.
Dow AgroSciences is a subsidiary of Midland, Mich.-based Dow Chemical Co. and had annual revenue in 2011 of $5.7 billion.
