PROGRAMS
Collections stewardship: The society maintains a vast archive and library with more
than 1.6 million photographs and 50,000 collections of personal and family papers, business records, newspapers, maps and
more.
Statewide education: Creates classroom materials and trains teachers in Indiana history;
involves students in National History Day and junior historian program; provides field service to 92 county historians and
more than 200 local history societies; publishes books, a quarterly magazine and a geneological periodical; offers lectures,
a film series and traveling exhibits.
Indiana Experience: Developing interactive and high-tech activities for visitors to
the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.
FUND-RAISER
Indiana Living Legends Gala, July 18, 2008, raised $113,316. Honors extraordinary Hoosiers for accomplishments on state and
national level in a variety of disciplines.
