The Indiana House Committee on Public Policy is expected to vote today on legislation that could ban smoking inside public places. According to an American Cancer Society poll, 64 percent of Hoosiers support a law to prohibit smoking in enclosed public areas. But groups representing Indiana’s casinos and taverns oppose the measure. They say a smoking ban would negatively affect their businesses. The ban would include workplaces, public buildings, offices, casinos, restaurants and bars. Fox 59 News will have more at 10 p.m.
