Julia Watson Watson

The Quality Connection trades group has named Julia Watson as its next executive director.

Watson, a longtime vice president of marketing and communications for Indianapolis Downtown Inc., left the organization late last year. As executive director of Quality Connection, she succeeds Tom O’Donnell, who will remain in the position through 2013.

“Julia’s accomplishments and expertise combined with her community and industry knowledge made her the perfect selection for Quality Connection,” Larry Van Tries, a Quality Connection director, said in a prepared statement.

Quality Connection is a labor-management partnership between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 481 and the Central Indiana chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.

It represents 80 electrical contractors and more than 2,400 members of the local IBEW.
