Carol Simonton filed the lawsuit in February 2006, four months after her husband, Timothy Simonton, 42, was found hanging from a tree where he had been scouting for deer. No one representing defendants L & L Enterprises of Mississippi, Ol’ Man Tree Stands of Florida or TRS Inc. showed up for the trial.
