Search for missing canoeist enters third day
The search for a missing White River canoeist continued this morning after a weekend of difficult recovery conditions. Ethan Runnels, 25, hasn’t been seen since his canoe capsized Saturday near 52nd Street. Fire department investigators fought choppy and fast-moving waters trying to locate him over the weekend. Crews are now looking for Runnels in the 30th Street area. They are expecting to use divers and sonar in today’s search.
