Since losing his bid for a third term as mayor in 2007, Peterson has worked as a resident fellow at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics and as chairman of the Mind Trust, an education not-for-profit he co-founded in 2006.
Other trustees joining the university’s board are Roland Dorson, president of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce; George Fleetwood, president of AT&T Indiana; Charles Garcia, president and CEO of Garcia Construction Group; and Vicki Perry, president and CEO of Advantage Health Solutions Inc.
The University of Indianapolis has more than 30 people on its board of trustees.
