Gov. Mike Pence's office announced Thursday he had appointed retired Lilly executive Randall Tobias and Pacers Sports & Entertainment president Jim Morris to three-year terms on the IU board. Pence also re-appointed Lilly chief financial officer Derica Rice to the board.
Tobias led the Indianapolis-based drugmaker in the 1990s. He was head of the Bush administration's foreign aid programs until resigning in 2007 after being linked to a Washington call-girl ring.
Morris is a former Lilly Endowment president and was director of the United Nations World Food Programme from 2002 to 2007.
Pence named medical student Janice Farlow of Indianapolis to a two-year term as student trustee.
