The Carmel-based company began trimming its payroll in early 2007 and has laid off a total of more than 400 workers during that time, the newspaper said.
The latest layoff occurred Friday and involved full-time employees, many with as much as 12 to 17 years of experience at the company, said the newspaper, citing sources within the plant.
The new cuts will leave about 480 workers employed at the Greensburg facility, which once was Decatur County’s largest employer.
The cuts have been blamed on weak sales of plumbing fixtures linked to the sluggish housing market.
Delta is owned by Michigan-based Masco Corp.
