State School Superintendent Glenda Ritz has sent an email to school districts saying results would be sent to schools and parents on Sept. 9, WIBC-FM reported.
Indiana Department of Education spokesman Daniel Altman clarifies that that's a "target date."
Ritz said last month that the data would be released by the end of August.
The results have been delayed by investigations into online testing glitches experienced by nearly 80,000 students last spring.
The email goes on to say the deadline for schools to submit improvement plans also is being pushed back, to Nov. 1.
An independent study found the online testing had no measurable negative impact on scores.
