Chief city chief engineer Andy Lutz told The Indianapolis Star that testing near the new Indianapolis World Sports Park on the city's far-east side has linked its new wells and reduced levels in four neighboring homes' wells.
The costs represent the latest issue for the $6 million park, which will contain cricket fields and space for rugby, hurling and other sports popular overseas. City Council members have criticized Mayor Greg Ballard for pushing the project while the city faces a $50 million budget deficit.
Ballard also has support for the new park.
