Gov. Mike Pence appointed Sarah Taylor, the state announced Friday. Taylor had been Ballard's director of constituent services.
Taylor will start work at the lottery office Oct. 1, replacing. Karl Browning. Pence recently appointed Browning commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Taylor also served for eight years as Marion County clerk.
Pence has also appointed Sean Keefer as his new legislative director. He also reappointed Tristan Vance as the director of the Office of Energy Development.
Keefer served in several positions in Gov. Mitch Daniels' administration.
