As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowWISH-TV Channel 8 has named Columbus, Ind., native Lori Wilson as co-anchor with Eric Halvorson of its 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekday newscasts.
She’ll take the reins from local broadcast legend Debby Knox, who will say farewell Tuesday evening after nearly four decades at WISH and ride off into retirement.
Wilson, a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis, joined the CBS affiliate earlier this year from WCAU-TV, an NBC affiliate in Philadelphia. She currently anchors the 5 p.m. WISH newscast.
Wilson worked previously as a fill-in at MSNBC, and at stations in Atlanta; Shreveport, La.; and Champaign, Ill.
Meanwhile, WISH said Tuesday that reporter Brooke Martin will co-anchor newscasts at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Martin joined the station last year from KSN-TV in Wichita, Kan.
