Ramon Carrera, CEO of Indy Audio Visual Productions, which produces the show, said “Pet Pals” will premiere early this month on KTRV-TV in Boise, Idaho, and on WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Mich.
That brings the number of states where the show airs to seven: Indiana, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Utah.
Sometime later this year, “Pet Pals” will appear on WSJV-TV Channel 28 in South Bend.
Locally, “Pet Pals” airs on WISH-TV Channel 8 and WNDY-TV Channel 23.
The show is hosted by former WISH entertainment reporter and anchor Patty Spitler and local TV veteran Paul Poteet.
The show offers content about domestic and wild animals and responsible pet ownership. It often focuses on successful pet adoptions.
“Pet Pals TV” pays to be on the air or strikes a barter agreement with stations on which it appears. It’s uncommon for a locally produced show to find longevity, much less grow into multiple markets.
