WISH-TV Channel 8 is squeezing more content out of its news operations by expanding the 10 p.m. newscast on sister station WNDY-TV Channel 23 to a full hour.
A major component of the expanded newscast—which debuted this month—is 15 minutes of additional sports coverage, said General Manager Jeff White. It’s known as “Sports Zone Tonight” and hosted by Anthony Calhoun.
That means more room for Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers news, as well as additional news segments, White said.
