Local architect Bill Browne, president and founder of Ratio Architects, will be honored May 22 by the Interior Design Coalition of Indiana as its 2014 Legend IN Design recipient.
The coalition is honoring Browne for his efforts “to elevate and advance the architectural profession … while creatively molding innovation, refinement in design and practice management into an award-winning firm.”
Among Ratio’s more notable projects are the Indiana Convention Center expansion, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Indiana State Museum and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis’ Dinosphere, for which the firm in 2004 earned the Outstanding Indiana Architecture Award from the state chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Browne founded Ratio in 1982.
The coalition’s event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s Deer Zink Pavilion.
To purchase tickets, visit www.icindiana.org or call 979-3583. Cost is $55.
