Subscribe NowMickey Maurer’s [Feb. 17] personalized and mean-spirited slam on Mike Delph and unwarranted smear on the Tea Party in particular shows ignorance of what the Tea Party is all about. TEA, an acronym for Taxed Enough Already, is primarily a fiscal movement for a small and more accountable government with fewer taxes, and is not known to rally for or against social issues, believing government should stay out of the bedroom.
Perhaps Maurer really meant social conservatives. Why is Maurer so frightened that permitting the traditional definition of marriage on a referendum for the people to decide is too representative for him? Why is he so afraid of the will of Hoosiers?
