IBJ reported Feb. 16 that the initiative under way for the last year has been known as the Indiana Energy Systems Network.
The Energy Systems Network will be the latest economic development initiative under the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, which also is the parent of manufacturing/logistics initiative Conexus, life sciences organ BioCrossroads and IT promoter TechPoint.
The energy thrust will focus on coordinating and promoting development in such areas as hybrid vehicles and renewable power systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Those expected at the announcement include Gov. Mitch Daniels and Duke Energy President and CEO Jim Rogers.
