Unite launched in Nashville, Tenn., in 2013, and plans launches in Bloomington and Evansville later this year, said Publisher Joey Amato.
The magazine, which promises to incorporate “a variety of edgy lifestyle content” also publishes a bimonthly magazine known as Unite Business, which is distributed to 20 lesbian/gay/bisexual and transgender chambers of commerce in the United States.
“After attending a handful of LGBT events in Indy and speaking with prominent members of the community, we have decided to launch in this market,” Amato said in a press release.
The magazine claims to have landed such major advertisers as Fifth Third Bank, Mass Mutual and New York Life. LGBT consumers, many of them affluent professionals, spend $820 billion a year, says the magazine.
