The certificate of entrepreneurship – 18 credit hours – prepares students to own and operate an independent business and offers courses in market research, venture growth, development, and tax and finance. The technical certificate – 31 credit hours – includes the entrepreneurship classes but adds accounting, marketing, computer, communication and college success courses.
The Gayle & Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship at the Bloomington campus worked with a group of statewide faculty and other academic leaders to develop the new programs.
The new certificates are part of the college’s effort to provide students practical tools. That links with the college’s mission to enhance Indiana’s economic development with higher education programs.
