The St. Joseph County Area Plan Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to give Nello Corp. permission for its planned factory on undeveloped land on South Bend's southwest side.
The South Bend Tribune and WSBT-TV report the company expects to spend about $60 million on the project.
Nello Corp. was founded in 2002 and makes steel towers for several uses, including telecommunications, utilities and wind energy.
