Many of the games will be shown live on RTV6’s Hometown Sports & News Channel, or HTSN. Key games, like the home opener Oct. 17 against the Fort Wayne Komets, will be broadcast live on the WRTV.
In addition, RTV6 News will preview the inaugural season with a 30-minute TV special.
The Fuel will play home games at the recently renovated Indiana Fairgrounds Coliseum.
“We’re very pleased to work with RTV6 as our television partner as we open our first season and reignite Indy’s passion for pro hockey,” said Fuel team president Sean Hallett in a prepared statement. “We wish every fan could be cheering alongside us at the Coliseum for every game – but if you can’t come to us, RTV6 will bring the action to you.”
HTSN can be seen over-the-air on channel 6.2, and is available on numerous cable systems in central and southern Indiana, including Comcast (247) and Brighthouse (410).
The Fuel will play in the ECHL (formerly known as the East Coast Hockey League), the premier “AA” league serving as a pipeline to the National Hockey League.
The Fuel signed a five-year affiliation agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this year.
