The Postal Service announced the job openings Thursday in several ZIP Codes in the Greater Indiana District. It says interested applicants can find the openings by going online to www.usps.com and clicking on "Indiana."
Rural carriers earn $16.25 per hour and receive equipment maintenance allowances. They may be required to use their personal vehicles, but are compensated for it.
Applicants must have valid state driver's licenses, safe driving records, and at least two years of documented driving experience. They must live within a 50-mile commute to a ZIP code area they work in.
