The building, at 8902 E. 38th St., near Post Road, will be constructed next to the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside.
A $6.6 million capital campaign is under way to fund the project, kicked off with a $1.25 million gift from The Finish Line Inc. The new building will be named for the Indianapolis-based public company.
The fundraising effort, the not-for-profit’s first in more than 20 years, also will support expansions and renovations to the kitchens and cafeterias of four club locations.
Its 11 locations provide programs for more than 7,000 area youth.
