The Kirr Marbach Partners Value Fund racked up an annualized 24.4-percent return for the five years ended June 30, 2014, the ninth-best performance out of 295 midsize company stock funds reviewed by the magazine for its September issue.
The Kirr Marbach Partners Value Fund is a no-load, diversified equity fund that launched in December 1998. Its managers typically look for investments that are out of favor, what the firm describes as “buying straw hats in the winter.”
The fund has $77 million in assets. Kirr Marbach overall has $684 million in assets under management.
