Dr. Eric Jones of Pendleton was arrested Tuesday at his general family practice about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Deputy Madison County Prosecutor Steve Koester said Jones faces charges of dealing a controlled substance, prescription crimes, reckless prescribing and corrupt business influence.
The Herald Bulletin reported Jones had no comment as he was escorted from his practice. A message seeking comment was left at the practice.
The medical practice was the subject of an investigation by the Madison County Drug Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Indiana State Police and the Madison County Prosecutor's Office. Koester said the investigation began in January.
