Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard joined officials from the Indianapolis Private Industry Council and Clarian Health this morning to announce new summer youth employment and education opportunities. The program is supported by federal stimulus dollars distributed through the Workforce Investment Act. A recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics found the teenage unemployment rate has risen above 21 percent with the summer job season fast approaching.
