The “madness” headline over Peter Rusthoven’s [April 13] column was perfect to describe the hysteria created by the Indianapolis Star regarding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and its extreme one-sided coverage capped off by Mr. “I’m embarrassed to be from Indiana” Tully. I’m not sure if he even read the law. Businesspeople, and some out-of-state government people, also made wild accusations. If all those projections of economic disaster had any validity at all, surely the other 19 states with such a law would be in the same position Detroit is now.
