NCA Group Inc., an insurance-claims services firm that has been based in Fishers since its founding in 1984, has reached an agreement to be acquired by Hammond, Louisiana-based Worley Claims Services.

Terms of the deal, announced Thursday, were not disclosed.

NCA, a provider of residential and commercial property-claims services throughout North America, has more than 150 employees.

NCA is expected to maintain its independent operations after the acquisition, the companies said. Jim Pearl, president of NCA since 2009, will become co-president of the combined company along with Allen Carpenter, Worley's chief administration officer.

Michael Worley, the son of company founder Ed Worley, will remain CEO.

Worley Claims Services, which has more than 800 employees, is one of the largest independent providers of insurance-adjustment management and services in the nation. The 39-year-old company provides property, auto, personal lines, and casualty claims adjustment and related services.

Worley is majority-owned by Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm that acquired the majority stake last October.

NCA has grown quickly in recent years by making seven acquisitions since 2011, including Simi Valley, California-based All Valley Adjusters this year and Indianapolis-based TURCO Claim Services Inc. in 2013.

Chicago-based StoneRidge Advisors LLC acted as financial adviser to NCA.
