Indy Parks Director John Williams has accepted the position of director of parks and recreation in Waco, Texas, the city of Indianapolis announced Wednesday morning.
Williams has worked for the city for the past 15 years, including the past three as parks director. He previously held leadership positions in the Department of Metropolitan Development and the Department of Public Works.
Indy Parks Superintendent of Operations Elaine Dillahunt has been named interim director. Dillahunt has been with IndyParks for 32 years in a wide range of leadership positions.
