Officials of Massachusetts-based ModusLink PTS say the latest decision will result in the elimination of nearly 170 jobs. The new job cuts will start in late September and finish by year's end.
The company laid off 320 workers from the Bloomington operations in February. It also closed its 96,000-square-foot distribution facility at 7955 Zionsville Road in Indianapolis in late 2014, eliminating 110 workers.
The company said in a filing with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development that the closing decision was prompted by continued business losses.
Parent company ModusLink Global Solutions reported this year a 39-percent drop in revenue and increased operating losses, The Herald-Times of Bloomington reported.
