A longtime executive of Duke Realty Corp. is the new leader of Cushman & Wakefield’s local office.

The real estate firm announced Wednesday afternoon that Chris Yeakey will assume leadership from Jeffrey L. Henry effective Nov. 16. Henry is retiring at the end of the year.

At Duke Realty, Yeakey served as vice president, regional asset manager for Indiana and Ohio. He joined the company in 1997 and most recently managed its industrial and office properties in those states.

“I am excited to join the Cushman & Wakefield team in Indianapolis—there is no better place to continue my career in commercial real estate,” Yeakey said in a prepared statement. “And I’m happy and honored to take the reins from such a respected professional as Jeff Henry, who built the office to be what it is today.”

Yeakey is a graduate of Indiana State University and is vice president of the Indianapolis chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association International.

Henry, a 42-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, has led Cushman & Wakefield’s Indianapolis office for 15 years and through its recent transitions from Cassidy Turley to DTZ to Cushman & Wakefield.

He began his career in 1973 at F.C. Tucker Commercial, which morphed through the years into Cushman & Wakefield. He specializes in leasing and selling office buildings and in tenant representation.

The office adopted the Cushman & Wakefield name after the firm acquired DTZ Sept. 1.
