The college sports governing body announced it will suspend membership dues for the next school year. It also hopes to save about $500,000 by holding most of its future committee meetings in its headquarters city of Indianapolis. Some meetings are currently held in the city, but about half are held in other parts of the nation. Schools normally pay $900 to $1,800 in annual dues, depending on which division the school competes in. The decision covers schools in all three divisions, and the NCAA estimates the suspension will keep $1.3 million in the schools’ coffers.
