Miller, one of the few female bank CEOs in Indiana, led Farmers Bank on an aggressive push into Hamilton County after becoming president of the institution in 2005.
The bank, which has $480 million in assets, has 10 central Indiana locations, including outposts in Fishers, Noblesville and Lebanon.
“We are all indebted to her for her friendship, leadership and vision,” Farmers Bank’s board said in a statement.
The board said the bank will continue to be run by Chad Kozuch, Brad Cunningham and Mark Novak while the board conducts a search for the next CEO. The trio stepped in after Miller was sidelined by her illness.
