Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute has named 1979
alum Matt Branam as interim president.
Branam has been a vice president at UPS and chief operating officer at the
American Red Cross under Elizabeth Dole.
Gerald Jakubowski is leaving as president of the engineering school in Terre
Haute to become provost of the California Maritime Academy. The maritime academy
near San Francisco is part of California State University system.
Jakubowski announced his resignation in February, and it is effective June
30. A board committee now will search for a full-time president.
