As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowFrontier Airlines is adding nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Philadelphia, the Indianapolis Airport Authority announced Thursday.
The first of three weekly flights from Indianapolis International Airport to Philadelphia International Airport are set to begin April 14, the authority said. Tickets for the flights are already on sale.
The authority said the number of passengers traveling through the Indianapolis airport rose 6.6 percent in 2015. The airport has added 24 nonstop flights since 2014, the biggest increase in nonstop offerings in more than a decade.
Frontier said Thursday that it was adding nonstop service in 42 markets across the United States starting in April with special introductory one-way rates starting at $39.
