The closing of a local home for abused and neglected children has been postponed by the Marion County Commission, which conducted a special meeting this morning regarding the Children’s Guardian Home. The commission had previously voted for its closure, saying it costs too much to run. Last night, the City County-Council submitted a plan to provide $450,000 to save the home.
