Southport Road, a former Gerdt Furniture store. IBJ reported on those plans last fall.
Renaissance will lease and equip more than half of the 66,000-square-foot former Gerdt store. Renovations are under way, and the company will move its app development team there, starting in April.
Renaissance, which currently has 151 workers, said most of the new jobs will be in software development in programming.
“I appreciate the support of the community and its officials for our expansion,” Renaissance President Erick Paul said in a statement. “Dental offices nationwide choose our company for their claim services because of the innovation and dedication of our employees, and we look forward to continuing to grow that team and the economy in central Indiana.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Renaissance up to $300,000 in tax credits based on the company’s job-creation plans. The tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is not eligible to claim the incentives until workers are hired.
Renaissance, launched in Martinsville in 2002, said it provides services that allow dental offices and insurance companies to reduce administrative costs. The company processes more than 65 million transactions annually and about 35 percent of all electronic U.S. dental claims.
