Last week, in a contest to win a family four-pack of tickets to see “Walking with Dinosaurs-The Arena Spectacular,” coming to Conseco Fieldhouse July 8-12, I asked you to write in your favorite dinosaur or dinosaur moment. Among many a Dino and Tyrannosaurus Rex, here are some of your other favorite dinosaurs:

“The one Fred Flintstone slid down.” (Julie Ragsdale)

Little Foot and Sharp Tooth. (Rick Ipock)

Duckie and Petrie. (Jennifer Zentz)

Quetzalcoatlus. (Heather Heath)

Parasauralophus. (Craig Koven)

Pleseasaur. “When my kids were younger we told them this was the nicest dinosaur because it always said please.” (Brian Brown)

Terry from “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.” (Annette Hargens)

Godzilla. (Simon Morse)

Allosaurus-“because that’s what my son told me to put.” (Niki Slaton)

“At 4 years old, my grandson, Jordan, said he wanted to be a paleontologist and he also knew the names of all the dinosaurs. Grandma is just bragging.” (Sandi Vasel)

And some favorite dino moments:

“In ‘Jurassic Park’ when the velociraptor outwits the human hunter and he exclaims ‘Smart girl!’ right before he is eaten.” (Kathi Pugh)

“When Baby Sinclair hits Earl Sinclair over the head with a club and says, ‘Not the mamma!'” (Brandy Wood)

“When I got all my pictures back from a friend’s wedding and 90 percent of them were of all the girls posing with the dinosaurs outside The Children’s Museum (where wedding was held). Dinosaurs and a Wedding … how fun!” (Morgan Greenlee)

“I had been serving as the Sunday school teacher for the 4- and 5-year-olds at our church. Following an exciting storybook about the Creation, my 4-year-old son pipes up, ‘My mommy remembers the dinosaurs!'” (Jane Smith)

“When my husband was 6 years old, his family took a trip to the Peabody Museum in Boston to see dinosaurs-his favorite thing at the time. The exhibit was closed for renovations and so he was unable to see any dinosaurs and ended up in tears. A kind security guard took such pity on this poor crying child that he let him into the gallery for a few minutes to look at the dinosaurs under construction. To this day my husband’s family still talks about how poor little Andy wasn’t able to see the dinos and the traumatizing experience he had in Boston.” (Jaclyn Falkenstein)

“While working my way up the ladder in the Los Angeles movie business, I was a runner on a low-budget feature. I was asked to deliver a script somewhere in the “Valley,” which, as I learned upon my arrival, was the Stan Winston Studios. At that time, they had quite a few dinosaurs in the shop from the “Jurassic Park” movies, including a full scale T-Rex. I asked if it was OK to look around for a few minutes, as I was a huge fan of Winston’s work. As I got closer to the T-Rex, I suppose someone thought it would be funny to fire it up, causing the animal to quickly jerk its head. Needless to say, I jumped about 10 feet backwards! It wasn’t “Walking with Dinosaurs,” as this T-Rex had one leg bolted to the floor, but it was a very cool experience nonetheless.” (Dan Schlaack)

“While touring the Dinosphere at the Children’s Museum for the first time, my then 4-year-old got her first look at the exhibit and shouted, ‘Dad, run!'” (Edwin Hoy)

“The opening sequence to the TV Show ‘Land of the Lost,’ and the really cheesy dinosaur whose mouth could barely open as it roared.” (Steven Smith)
