Guster, Atlas Genius and Prismo will be the daily headliners for the three-day event, which is planned for the weekend of Sept. 30-Oct. 2 on the lawn of American Legion Mall. The lineup also includes 10 to 12 local and regional performers each day.
The show is being produced by Indianapolis-based Rift LLC. Its CEO is Nick White, a former executive producer at WTTV-TV Channel 4 and WXIN-TV Channel 59.
One-day passes are priced at $24 for Friday’s lineup, headlined by Prismo. Daily admission jumps to $35 both Saturday and Sunday.
“That’s what the first year’s about—a low ticket price, getting a lot of people in and growing for the future,” White said.
He declined to reveal the festival’s budget, but said the event would break even if it sells 6,000 tickets at the $24 price point.
The festival is also offering three-day ticket packages as well as a group VIP pass—$2,200 for 12 three-day admission tickets.
So far, White said, the festival has sold fewer than 1,000 tickets. But he said he’s encouraged that ticket sales increased immediately after the festival lineup was announced early on Monday.
“We’re in a good spot,” White said.
“With 40 days left, it’s time to ramp up and get the name out there and sell some tickets and get the excitement going," he said.
